RULES & REGULATIONS

JOINING

1. We currently only accept original wrestlers that you yourself have created. We don't need someone RPing as Triple H and claiming to be a 12-time World Champion. You're character can be similar to a real life person, but use common sense and try to not make them too similar. On the other hand, we do require that you pick a real life person as your character's picture base for use in graphics and as a visual aid. We encourage you to use wrestlers for this, but other celebrities are not off limits.

2. You are limited to either one singles wrestler or one tag team. You are also limited to a maximum of two managers or valets. One is probably plenty, but I figure some people might want a male manager and a female valet, and that's acceptable.

3. We do not currently accept female wrestlers. We do not like the idea of booking men versus women on a regular basis, but if there is enough demand that we feel the need to create a women's division, we will do so at that time.

ROLEPLAY LIMITS & DEADLINES

1. The roleplaying week begins on Saturday after a show is posted Friday night. Roleplaying ends Wednesday nights at midnight (Central Time) as the day changes to Thursday. RPs posted at or after 12:00 AM will not be counted. Shows are bi-weekly, so RPing will last 12 days instead of 5, meaning RPing will end on the second Wednesday after RPing begins, as opposed to the first.

2. On normal weeks, there is a limit of four roleplays per person. If no one has RPed for a particular match by midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, that match will be closed to RPs. Also, on the final day of RPing (the second Wednesday), you can only put out ONE RP.

3. For tag team matches, if the two teams are both controlled by one person, the previous limits stand. However, if one or both of the teams are controlled by two individual handlers, the RPing rules change slightly. The RP limit will be FOUR PER TEAM. Teams with two handlers will get two RPs per handler, while teams with one handler will get the entire four. If no one has RPed for a particular match by midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, that match will be closed to RPs. Also, on the final day of RPing (the second Wednesday), teams with one handler will be limited to two RPs for that day, while a team of two handers will be limited to one each.

Note: RPing as a tag team by yourself can be tough, as you can see. You have to do the work of two men. But that's what you're signing up for when you apply as a team. I don't want to hear any bitching. Also, if your partner no shows, tough. Take it up with him. Tag teaming is about teamwork, and if one guy doesn't pull his weight, the team fails. You will occasional be put in a random tag team match with a partner chosen for you by the staff. This happens in real life too. If it happens that your partner no shows on you, we are likely to take pity on you and not do it to you again, at least for a while. We are merciful, if nothing else.

4. For pay-per-views, there will be a limit of six RPs per person for singles matches and six per team for tag team matches. All other limits stand.

5. A shorter version of the RPing limits and deadlines will be posted in every match thread, so pay attention in case any changes are made.

ROLEPLAY GUIDELINES

1. In-ring promos are not recommended. We run one show a week, no house shows, and really frown upon the style of RPing where your promo takes place in the ring at the show you are RPing for. We recommend you RP in real time. If it's Wednesday, RP as if it's Wednesday. And as far as a setting for your promo, get those creative juices flowing, you'll think of something better than in the ring.

2. Grammar. There is nothing worse than reading an RP with bad grammar. If you haven't mastered the English language, find a grammar and spell checker of some sort, whether in Word or on the internet. They're out there.

3. Find a happy medium with length. Short RPs are obviously scoffed at, but I personally hate really long RPs. They drag out and get boring and it just comes off as you're trying to win by quantity or repeating yourself or just doing something really boring when you could break it into two RPs or something.

4. We're not prudes. Cursing is okay, but not in large amounts. Let's not find 50 instances of the work fuck in that RP, okay?

5. Character development RPs are sometimes great, but they won't help you as much towards your match as an RP where you talk about your opponent. If you can do a little bit of both, now that's awesome.

6. I'd appreciate it if I didn't see any storyline progression or booking changes in RPs. I'm more than happy for you to have input in your storylines, feuds and so forth, but at the very least talk to me about it first. Don't just up and challenge your opponent to a tables match in an RP (I did that when I first started). Ideally, I would like any storyline developments and such to happen on shows, but exceptions can be made. My door is alway open.

7. Using another person's character in your roleplays is off limits unless you have their permission and attacking another person's character in your roleplay is strictly off limits, with or without permission.

STORYLINES, ETC.

1. If you would like anything particular to happen in your match, a certain feud or storyline to occur, or a segment to take place, contact me and let me know. I can't say it will definitely fit into plans, but I do my best to accomodate everybody and make sure they are happy when it comes to the way their character is used.

2. You may be called upon to write a segment involving your character on a given show. We sometimes to this to make sure someone's character is written properly. If you are assigned this task, please get your segment in in a timely fashion so we're not waiting on it to post the show. If you don't someone else will right it, then no one will be happy.

3. If you win by DQ or interference or something of that nature, that's not taking anything away from your RP performance. Sometimes angles like that just have to be done for the sake of a storyline. You still out-RPed your opponent.

OTHER

1. These rules are obviously subject to change and the institution of new rules as I see fit.
